If you have used credit before, such as by having a credit card, student loan, or mortgage with a financial institution, then you probably have a credit history. Even if you haven’t had one of these products, you might still have a credit history. Most bureaus will list accounts on which you are an “authorized user” on your credit file as well. What this means is that if you have a joint account with family members, then you may have a credit history!
