Is my verification of income data secure?

Nova Credit works with tenant screening companies to provide properties with the ability to verify applicants' income using our Income Navigator. Nova Credit takes compliance and information security very seriously. We know that trust is a big responsibility, and we hold ourselves to the most rigorous standards when it comes to your data. Nova Credit incorporates security best practices into all aspects of our business and orients our practices to industry standards in cloud security, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

Safeguards include company-wide training, regular monitoring and testing of our security controls, frequent penetration testing and scanning, vulnerability management, restricted access to confidential information, and encryption at rest and in transit.

If you provide verification of income via your bank account, we will be using the information to verify your income and will only connect to your bank account once. If you are not comfortable connecting your bank account, you may also have the option to upload a pay stub to verify your income instead.
