There are typically 7 main sections to a Credit Passport (although this will vary by country):
- Header: contains your name and other personal information
- Score: we show both the local score from the foreign bureau and a translation to a country-equivalent score range. Just like a credit score, the score is designed to identify credit quality.
- Notifications: if there are any major derogatory items (for example bankruptcies or debt collections) or special notices (such as a fraud alert) included on your Credit Passport, you will see them highlighted at the top of the report.
- Metrics: Metrics are calculated based on the credit history in your report. They are a quick and easy way for you or an underwriter to get a sense of the information on your report.
- Tradeline data: includes all credit-related accounts reported by the foreign bureau. If available, we will also include the account’s corresponding payment history by marking which payments were on time versus late.
- Inquiry data: inquiries are requests for your credit report made by other creditors, which usually happens when you apply for credit. Some foreign bureaus will register Nova Credit’s inquiry on your report as soon as you request your credit history through Nova Credit.
- Other data: some foreign bureaus provide data unrelated to your credit accounts, such as employment history, asset information, and disputes/comments that have been logged into your report. If available, they will appear at the bottom of your report.
